HOMEMADE SUSHI











Homemade Sushi

Ingredients

1 cup sushi rice
2 cups water
½ teaspoon of dates vinegar (or other edible vinegar)
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt 

1 teaspoon roasted black sesame - optional
2-3 pieces of seaweed (get the roasted)
Sushi dipping sauce
Cucumber cut lengthwise – for filling
Carrots cut lengthwise – for filling
Crabmeat (crab stick) – for filling (to be fried / boiled)

Methods

  1. Cook rice in a rice cooker. Let it cool. 
  2. Mix vinegar, sugar and salt. Heat it to boil. Let it cool. 
  3. Mix well the cooled vinegar, roasted sesame and cooled rice. 
  4. Lay seaweed on bamboo mat and spread rice evenly on the seaweed. 
  5. Place the filling and roll up firmly. 
  6. Cut and served it with tamagoyaki and sushi dipping sauce.
Sushi 
Bahan-bahan

1 cawan beras sushi
2 cawan air
½ sudu teh cuka kurma (atau lain-lain cuka yang boleh dimakan)
2 sudu teh gula
1 sudu teh garam
1 sudu teh bijan hitam dipanggang - optional
2 - 3 keping seaweed (jika boleh dapatkan yang telah dipanggang)
Sos pencicah sushi.
Timun dipotong memanjang – untuk inti
Lobak merah dipotong memanjang – untuk inti
Isi ketam (crab stick) – untuk inti (perlu digoreng/rebus sekejap)

Langkah-langkah

  1. Masak beras dalam rice cooker. Selepas masak sejukkan.
  2. Campur cuka, gula dan garam. Panaskan sehingga mendidih. Sejukkan.
  3. Gaulkan campuran cuka, bijan hitam dan nasi yang telah sejuk.
  4. Bentangkan seaweed atas alas buluh dan ratakan nasi atas seaweed. 
  5. Letakkan inti yang digemari dan gulung sehingga padat.
  6. Siap dan potong untuk dihidang bersama tamagoyaki dan sos pencicah.
