Prawns in Spicy Sour Sauce
Ingredients

to 8 medium size prawns
1
potato cut in wedges
5-6
finely chopped bird’s eye chili
1
onion sliced
1
teaspoon homemade ginger-garlic paste
1
tablespoon of turmeric powder
½
cup tamarind juice (extracting from water mix with tamarind) or ½ teaspoon
vinegar dates
2
tablespoons curry powder
1
tablespoon of oyster sauce
Olive
oil
Salt
Sugar
Methods
1. Mix prawn and
potatoes with turmeric powder and salt.
2. Heat the olive
oil in a pan and sauté onion, curry powder, chili and ginger-garlic paste until
fragrant.
3. Add in the
potatoes and fry until soft.
4. Put tamarind juice
and mix thoroughly.
5. Add oyster
sauce when the mixture boil and add shrimp.
6. Stir briefly
until the shrimp turn a reddish color.
7. Serve with hot
steamed rice.
Udang Masak Asam Berempah
Bahan-bahan

– 8 ekor udang saiz sederhana
1
biji kentang dipotong wedges
5
– 6 biji cili padi dicincang halus
1
biji bawang besar dimayang
1
sudu besar serbuk kunyit
½
cawan air asam jawa (air dari perahan asam jawa) atau ½ sudu teh cuka kurma
2
sudu besar serbuk kari
1
sudu besar sos tiram
Minyak
zaiton
Garam
Gula
Langkah-langkah
1. Gaulkan udang
dan kentang dengan serbuk kunyit dan garam.
2. Panaskan
minyak zaiton dalam kuali dan tumiskan bawang besar, rempah kari, cili padi dan
pes halia-bawang putih sehingga naik bau.
3. Selepas itu
masukkan kentang dan goreng sehingga lembut.
4. Masukkan air
asam jawa dan kacau sehingga sebati.
5. Sos tiram
dimasukkan setelah kuah mendidih dan masukkan udang.
6. Kacau sekejap
sehingga udang bertukar warna menjadi kemerahan.
7. Hidangkan
bersama nasi panas.
