KACANG PHOOL BEREMPAH REVISITED / FOUL BEAN IN SPICY SAUCE REVISITED

Cadangan Hidangan / Suggested Dish
Kacang Phool / Foul Beans 

Foul beans Revisited

Ingredients

2 cans beans foul (1 can mashed, 1 can used straight from the tin) (baked bean can also be use)
300 gm minced beef
1 tablespoon fennel seeds powder
1 tablespoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
2 tablespoon curry powder add with water
1 tablespoon baryani powder
2 onions (1½  cloves for sauté, ½ cloves of finely cut cubes for garnishing)
2 cloves of garlic
3 tablespoon chili paste (add more for hotter taste)
1 cm ginger pound
Salt
Sugar
Olive oil
Butter
Eggs (fried bull’s eye).
Sandwich bread (can also use French loaf)

For garnish
Parsley
Spring onions
Green chilies
Calamansi
Diced onion

Methods

1.    Heat oil, sauté the onion, garlic and ginger until fragrant.
2.    Fry the cumin, anise, coriander, curry paste and baryani powder.
3.    Stir fry the mince meat until cooked together with spices.
4.    Once the meat cooked, add a little water and add the mashed beans phool.
5.    After all ingredients well mixed, add whole foul beans.
6.    Add salt, sugar and chili and tomato sauce.
7.    If thick add water to dilute it.
8.    To serve, put phool beans in a bowl.
9.    Sprinkle the diced onion, coriander leaves, spring onions and calamansi.
10. Place the bull’s eye eggs in a phool bean bowl and eat it with buttered toasted bread.

Kacang Phool Revisited

Bahan-bahan

2 tin kacang phool (1 tin dilenyek, 1 tin diguna terus dari tin) (boleh juga diguna baked bean)
300 gm daging kisar
1 sudu besar serbuk jintan manis
1 sudu besar serbuk jintan putih
1 sudu teh ketumbar
2 sudu besar rempah kari
1 sudu  besar rempah baryani (kalau ada)
2 ulas bawang besar (1.5 ulas untuk tumisan, 0.5 ulas potong kiub halus untuk tabur)
2 ulas bawang putih
3 sudu besar cili kisar (kalau nak pedas boleh tambah)
Halia
Garam
Gula
Minyak zaiton
Mentega
4 biji telor (digoreng mata kerbau).
Roti sandwich (boleh juga French loaf)

Untuk hiasan
Daun sup
Daun bawang
Cili hijau
Limau kasturi
Bawang besar yang dipotong kiub

Langkah-langkah

1.    Panaskan minyak dikuali, tumiskan bawang besar, bawang putih dan halia sehingga naik bau.
2.    Tumiskan jintan puteh, jintan manis, ketumbar, rempah kari dan rempah baryani.
3.    Gorengkan daging kisar sehingga masak bersama rempah-rempah tadi.
4.    Bila daging dah masak, masukkan sedikit air dan masukkan kacang phool yang dilenyek.
5.    Selepas agak sebati daging kisar dan kacang phool lenyek, masukkan kacang phool yang telah ditoskan airnya.
6.    Masukkan garam, gula, sos cili dan tomato.
7.    Jika pekat tambahkan air tapi jangan sampai cair.
8.    Untuk hidangan, masukkan kacang phool dalam mangkuk. 
9.    Taburkan bawang yang dipotong kiub, daun sup, daun bawang dan limau kasturi. 
10. Letakkan telor mata dalam mangkuk kacang phool apabila hendak makan dengan roti bakar disapu mentega.

  3. Salam..ok lawatan balas kunjung...ni versi Melayu sbb tgk ada kwn post kat my FB group cam ni yg ada telo tu.. Kalau nk yg healty ikut recipe no.2..just simple & easy..Lydia ni bukan pengemar sangat foul ni tapi dek kerna my husband org timur tengah kena la buat..kalau versi arab ada 3 jenis yg Lydia tahu..new idea..good
