Since we have a jar full of cheerios left uneaten, my mum & I decided to create a recipe as my family was craving for something a little sweet & crunchy!!
These cookies are simply fabulous & healthy..they came out nice with just enough crunch! I absolutely love them & hope you will try & love them too...^____^
Cheerios Cookies
Ingredients
2
cups superfine flour
1
¼ icing sugar
¾
cup butter
¼ cup vegetable shortening
1
cup cheerios (blended)
1
cup wheat biscuits (blended)
2
eggs (1 for glaze)
1
tsp baking powder
1
tsp essence vanilla
Methods
- Sift together flour and baking powder.
- Beat butter, vegetable shortening and sugar until pale and creamy.
- Add vanilla essence. Stir in egg.
- Fold in flour, baking powder and blended cheerios and wheat biscuits.
- Mixture must not stick to our hands when touched.
- Transfer dough, roll and press cookies.
- Glaze and decorate with cheerios and bake at 180 deg Celsius.
- Once baked cool it in room temperature & store in air tight jar.
Cheerios Cookies
2 cawan tepung halus1 ¼ gula aising
¾ cawan mentega
¼ cawan lelemak sayur-sayuran
1 cawan cheerios (dikisar)
1 cawan biskut gandum (dikisar)
2 biji telur (1 untuk Glaze)
1 sudu kecil serbuk penaik
1 sudu kecil esen vanila
Langkah-langkah
- Ayak tepung dan serbuk penaik.
- Pukul mentega, lelemak sayuran dan gula hingga pucat dan berkrim.
- Tambah esen vanila. Kacau telur.
- Lipat dalam tepung, baking powder dan cheerios dan biskut gandum.
- Campuran tidak perlu melekat pada tangan kita apabila disentuh.
- Memindahkan doh, gulung dan tekap cookies.
- Kilatkan (glaze) dan hiasi dengan cheerios dan bakar pada suhu 180 darjah Celsius.
- Biarkan sejuk dalam suhu bilik & simpan di dalam bekas kedap udara.
