KEREPEK ARROWROOT@ARROWHEAD / ARROWROOT@ARROWHEAD CHIPS

Arrowroot/Arrowhead Chips

Ingredients 

Arrowroots/Arrowheads (normally available before Chinese New Year)
Oil for deep frying
Salt (optional)

Methods 
  1. Skin arrowroots/arrowheads (leave the stalk) and wash.
  2. Heat oil in pan, when oil is hot grate arrowroots/arrowheads by holding the stalk directly into the pan.

  3. Let it in the pan for a while.
  4. Fry till golden brown. 
  5. Cool and keep in air-tight container.

Bahan-bahan

Ubi Arrowroot/Arrowrhead (Ubi ini hanya akan ada di pasaraya apabila menjelang Tahun Baru China)
Minyak untuk mengoreng
Garam (kalau hendak perasa – rasa asli sudah sedap)

Langkah-langkah
  1. Ubi dibuang kulit, tangkai dibiarkan dan dibasuh. 
  2. Ubi diparut dengan memegang tangkainya terus ke dalam kuali yang berisi minyak (deep fry).
  3. Biarkan seketika sehingga garing.
  4. Toskan dan siap untuk dimakan.
  5. Untuk menyimpan boleh diisi dalam balang sebagai makanan ringan.
